City Tour: Colonial and Modern Lima we will walk through the main streets, squares and avenues of the city. We will start at the Parque del Amor in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Then, we will have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of the Lima culture. We will continue to the Plaza de Armas, where we will find the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace. We will visit the Cathedral and walk to the Santo Domingo Convent, whose corridors were passed by San Martín de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima in the seventeenth century and where their remains currently lie, later we will go to the Pueblo Libre district and visit the Larco Museum . Presented in a Virreinal mansion, the former residence of the Viceroys and Liberators, it is considered the museum par excellence of Peru. The famous stone monuments from the formative period 1000 BC are preserved here. the “Estela Raimondi” and the “Obelisco Tello”. Guided visit to the splendid and extensive archaeological citadel of Pachacamac. Sanctuary of the God Pachacamac, the creator of the universe, a divinity worshiped by the ancient Andean peoples. Is the best textile private collection in Peru. It is an exhibit of incalculable beauty on how they worked with cotton and the dyes of different cultures, especially those of the coastal area. They also have an important ceramics collection. Visits only by appointment.
This collection is about gold and silver of the different Peruvian cultures, including that of Sipan. It also treasures paintings of the Cusco School as well as sculptures. For visits, groups of more than 10 persons are only accepted.
